Walvisbay man

Walvis Bay, Namibia –
A 30-year-old man has been arrested in Walvis Bay after being found in possession of 100 units of crack cocaine, with an estimated street value of N$10,000.

The arrest was made following a tip-off from concerned community members who alerted authorities about a suspicious parcel labeled "Pears" being transported via public transport from Walvis Bay to Oshikango. Acting swiftly on the information, law enforcement officers launched an operation to track and intercept the package.

Police successfully stopped the bus in Swakopmund, where they recovered the parcel containing the illicit drugs. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody in Walvis Bay.

Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the drug operation and whether additional suspects may be involved. The arrest highlights the crucial role of community cooperation in combating drug-related crimes.

Law enforcement officials have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help curb the spread of narcotics in the country.
